ALAMINOS CITY — Mayor Hernani Braganza appealed to former House Speaker Jose C. De Venecia, Jr. to keep Pangasinan leaders united.

During his visit to Gandang Umaga Kapamilya over ABS-CBN Dagupan, Braganza said that he respects the arguments of the former speaker particularly on his stand regarding the ZTE controversies exposed by his son Joey which caused him ouster from his position in the House of Representatives.

Despite the ouster of De Venecia, Braganza said the need to keep the Pangasinan leaders  united is imperative.

Braganza cited former President Fidel V. Ramos, also chairman emeritus of the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) for his efforts in doing his best to keep the leaders under the party united.

He expressed optimism that the anticipated meeting among Lakas leaders will result to a stronger unity considering the looming merger between Lakas and Kampi.

The two parties are being considered as the strongest in Philippine politics.

Braganza also said that the controversies which have yet to be heard in proper court must remain a thing to be proven.

“As of now the Pangasinan leaders must think about how they could unite and work together for the development of the country,” Braganza said.eHe H
