Dads okay entry of cable - TV firm

SAN CARLOS CITY — The Sangguniang Panlungsod here approved on second reading, Resolution No. 1056-08 granting a developmental permit to a cable firm to operate in this city.
The resolution was sponsored by Councilor Vici M. Ventanilla.
Approved unanimously, the resolution allows Montriz Cable Corporation to build, operate and maintain a cable television system here.
News of the approved resolution was received by some quarters with doubts whether Montriz Cable Corporation can offer the same quality of services as USATV which had been serving the city exclusively for the past five years.
But the greater number of San Carleñans welcomed the prospect of lower rates and improved services as the result of heightened business competition between the two cable companies.
The Montriz Cable Corporation is owned by Engr. Beatriz S. Bugayong of Urbiztondo, Pangasinan.(CIO)
